Blackthorn World manufactures custom sublimated American football jerseys, also called gridiron jerseys, to order from 10 pieces per design. Each jersey is cut from 330 GSM polyester/spandex. Your full design is dye-sublimated into the fabric, and numbers, names and logos can be added in dull or chrome tackle twill. We supply leagues, clubs, schools, flag football programs, teamwear dealers, wholesalers and importers in North America, Europe, the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

330 GSM polyester/spandex: what it means on the field

330 GSM means the fabric weighs 330 grams per square meter. That puts it in the heavyweight class for football jerseys. It holds its shape over shoulder pads, resists snags from contact and stands up to a full season of washing.

The spandex in the blend lets the jersey stretch over pads and move with the player when they throw, block or reach. It then recovers instead of bagging out. Polyester takes sublimation inks well and dries quickly, so jerseys stay light in rain and late-season games.

Where the weight matters

• Tackle football: the heavier knit holds up to grabbing and pad contact through a full season.
• Flag football and 7v7: the stretch gives a closer fit without restricting movement.
• Practice: the same fabric can be cut as practice jerseys for teams that train in their game colors.

Full sublimation or tackle twill: dull or chrome?

Choose full sublimation for unlimited colors and graphics. Choose tackle twill for the raised, stitched look of a traditional football jersey. Many teams combine both: a sublimated body with twill numbers.

Full dye-sublimation

Sublimation turns ink into a gas that bonds with the polyester fibers. The design becomes part of the fabric, so it cannot crack, peel or fade from washing. Gradients, patterns, sponsor logos and every number print in one process, and adding colors does not add cost.

Tackle twill: dull finish

Dull tackle twill is a matte twill fabric. It is cut into numbers, letters and logos and stitched onto the jersey. It gives the classic collegiate and pro look and adds texture that sublimation alone cannot.

Tackle twill: chrome finish

Chrome tackle twill has a metallic, reflective surface that stands out under stadium lights and in team photos. It is stitched on the same way as dull twill. Wash chrome-twill jerseys cold and inside out, and never iron directly on the twill, so the metallic finish keeps its shine.

Customization options

Every jersey is made to your design: colors, crest, sponsor logos, player names and numbers. The options include:

Youth and adult sizing

The jersey is made in youth and adult sizes, and both can be mixed in one order. A youth team and an adult team can share a design, and a club can order every age group at once. The jersey is cut to fit over shoulder pads. Your full size chart and fit guidance come with your quote.

If players are between sizes, tell us the shoulder pad sizes and we will recommend a size run before you order.

Wholesale and bulk ordering

The minimum order is 10 pieces per design, and sizes, names and numbers can be mixed within those 10. Pricing is quoted per order and scales with quantity, so send your quantities and decoration choices for a quote.

How an order runs

1. Design: send your artwork or use the online Kit Mockup tool, and we return a design proof.
2. Sample: a pre-production sample is made in about 2 weeks.
3. Bulk production: 3–4 weeks after you approve the sample.
4. Shipping: samples travel by air courier (DHL, UPS or FedEx). Bulk orders go by air or sea freight, door-to-door or FOB to your nominated forwarder.

We ship to the USA and Canada, and across Europe: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Czechia, Ireland, the UK and the Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland). We also ship to Australia and New Zealand. Every shipment comes with a commercial invoice and packing list for your customs broker.

Leagues and clubs can order every team in one design run, with different colorways per team and mixed sizes per roster. Reorders for new players use the same artwork, so mid-season additions match the original kit. Flag football leagues get the same jersey in a lighter, closer cut. Flag football is on the program for the LA 2028 Olympic Games, and new programs are starting across Europe.
