How to order custom apparel
From your first sketch to cartons at your door — the eight steps every Blackthorn World order follows.
In short
To order custom apparel from Blackthorn World, send your design brief with quantities and delivery country, approve a costing and a physical sample, and bulk production then runs against that approved sample before packing and shipping by air or sea. Everything is made to order, OEM or private label.
The eight steps
- Send your briefEmail or WhatsApp a tech pack, sketch or photo, with the fabric you have in mind, quantities per size, decoration and delivery country. A reference garment you like works too.
- Get fabric options and a costingWe reply with suitable fabrics and weights, decoration methods and a price for your quantity, plus a sample plan.
- 3D mock-up and sampleYour design is prepared as a mock-up, then a physical sample is made from the chosen fabric with your branding.
- Approve the sampleYou check fit, colour, print position and finishing. Changes are made and re-sampled if needed. The approved sample becomes the production standard.
- Bulk productionGraded digital patterns, cutting, sublimation, embroidery or printing, and stitching — all run against the approved sample record.
- Quality checkInline and final inspection: measurements, colour, print position and finishing are checked against the approved sample.
- PackingGoods are poly-bagged, cartoned and labelled to your packing list, with your own labels, hang tags and packaging if ordered.
- ShippingAir or sea freight, door-to-door on our account or FOB to your nominated forwarder. You receive tracking and shipping documents.

- Logo files — vector (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) if you have them
- Labels and packaging you need
- Delivery country, and whether you use your own forwarder
Payment and shipping
We accept bank transfer, Alibaba Trade Assurance, Western Union, MoneyGram and Zelle. Samples ship by air courier (DHL, UPS, FedEx); bulk by sea or air freight, door-to-door on our account or FOB to your nominated forwarder.
Common questions
Do you sell stock or blank garments?
No. Everything is made to order — your fabric, colours, logo, labels and size run. The styles on the website are starting points.
Can I get a sample before a bulk order?
Yes. Every order is sampled first, and bulk production starts only after you approve fit, colour and branding.
What is your minimum order quantity?
Minimum orders: sublimated teamwear 10 pieces per design, varsity jackets 10 pieces, bags 10 pieces, motorcycle garments 50 pieces and motorcycle gloves 50 pairs per style. Other products are quoted per style. Send the style and quantity you have in mind and we will confirm what is possible.
How long does production take?
Samples take about 2 weeks, and bulk production takes 3–4 weeks after you approve the sample, plus shipping time. Exact dates are confirmed with your quote.
What files should I send for my logo or design?
Vector artwork (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) is best for sublimation, embroidery and printing. A high-resolution image or sketch is fine to start — our team can redraw it.
