About the Orange & Charcoal Site Security Parka
Site security officers walk a lot — between gates, compounds and plant — so this parka uses a breathable 2-layer polyester twill with a PU membrane instead of a plain coated shell. It keeps rain out at around 5,000 mm while letting moisture escape, which means less condensation inside on a twelve-hour shift.
The fluorescent orange upper body matches the PPE colour used on most construction and mining sites in Australia, Canada and Europe, and the charcoal lower body and forearms hide the mud and concrete dust that come with the job. Silver reflective braces, two body hoops and sleeve hoops give 360° visibility around moving plant.
Two vertical zip pockets on the chest keep phones and permits dry, a flap pocket carries the SECURITY badge, and two lower flap pockets take gloves and a torch. The fleece-lined collar, stud-and-zip placket and adjustable cuffs seal out wind-driven rain.
