What a private-label gi is made of
| Part | What we use |
|---|---|
| Jacket | Pearl-weave cotton (weight confirmed with your quote) |
| Pants | Ripstop cotton with a drawstring or rope waist |
| Colours | White, blue, black and custom colours |
| Branding | Embroidered and woven patches, embroidered lapel text, printed or sublimated lining |
| Sizes | Adult and kids |
The kids range uses the same approach: classic white, royal blue and midnight navy, plus single-weave and lightweight academy styles.
Decisions to make before you request a quote
- Colour — white, blue and black are the standard set. Earth tones, a navy base with a pinstripe, or coloured trim panels help a brand stand out on the mats. Our current range includes olive, navy-copper, burgundy, teal and purple trim designs.
- Patch plan — embroidered or woven patches, where each one sits, and whether the lapel carries embroidered text.
- Lining — the inside of the jacket can carry a printed or sublimated pattern, which gives a gi its identity without changing the outside.
- Sizes and split — kids and adults are separate designs. The 50-piece minimum applies per design, so plan the size run before you order.
- Event rules — if your athletes compete, check the gi rules of the federations and events they enter (colours, patch placement, fit) before you approve a design.
