Indicative FOB prices for private-label boxing, sparring, MMA and grappling gloves, what changes the price, and how to estimate your landed cost.

Published 12 October 2026 · Blackthorn World

In short

Indicative FOB prices per piece are $11 to $18 for boxing gloves, $12 to $20 for sparring gloves, $9 to $15 for MMA gloves and $8 to $14 for grappling gloves. The MOQ is 30 pieces per colorway. Shell, foam and weight move the price most. A sample takes about 2 weeks and bulk 3 to 4 weeks after approval. Freight, duty and import VAT or sales tax are extra.

Most buyers ask about price first. That makes sense: glove cost decides your margin, your retail price and how many colorways you can launch. This guide sets out our indicative FOB prices for private-label gloves, explains what moves them, and shows how to turn an FOB price into a landed cost you can plan around.

Indicative FOB prices for private-label gloves

These prices are for our new collection, made in our own factory with your logo, labels and packaging. They are FOB per piece, indicative and tentative.

Glove typeIndicative FOB per pieceKey specsMOQ
Boxing gloves$11 to $18PU, microfiber or cowhide shell; EVA + latex foam; 10 to 16 oz30 per colorway
Sparring gloves$12 to $20Thicker multi-density foam; 14, 16 and 18 oz30 per colorway
MMA gloves$9 to $15Open palm and fingers; layered knuckle foam; 4 to 6 oz; S to XL30 per colorway
Grappling gloves$8 to $14Slimmer padding; 4 oz style; S to XL30 per colorway

Each style comes in 10 colorways: Obsidian Gold, Arctic Blue, Crimson Carbon, Forest Sand, Cobalt Volt, Burgundy Copper, Stone Orange, Teal Graphite, Ivory Violet and Midnight Silver. Your logo is printed on the glove at 50 mm. Final materials and glove weights are confirmed at sampling.

What a first order can look like

With an MOQ of 30 pieces per colorway, the FOB cost of one colorway is easy to estimate. For example, 30 boxing gloves at $11 to $18 come to $330 to $540 FOB. Thirty MMA gloves at $9 to $15 come to $270 to $450 FOB. A brand that launches one boxing colorway, such as the Midnight Silver retail boxing gloves, and one MMA colorway, such as the Midnight Silver retail MMA gloves, can plan its first FOB spend from these figures before freight and duty.

What moves the price

Shell material

For boxing gloves, the shell is the biggest single factor. PU usually sits toward the lower end of the range, microfiber in the middle and cowhide toward the upper end. A pro-style cowhide glove like the Obsidian Gold pro boxing gloves will usually price higher than a PU gym glove like the Forest Sand boot camp boxing gloves.

Foam and weight

More foam means more material and more build time. That is why sparring gloves, with thicker multi-density foam in 14 to 18 oz, cost a little more than boxing gloves. Styles such as the Burgundy Copper classic sparring gloves sit in the $12 to $20 range.

Glove type

Open-finger gloves use less material than a full boxing glove. MMA gloves like the Teal Graphite striker MMA gloves are $9 to $15. Grappling gloves, with slimmer padding, are the lowest at $8 to $14, as with the Burgundy Copper catch grappling gloves.

Branding and packaging

A printed 50 mm logo is part of the private-label build. Custom labels and branded packaging are available. Tell us exactly what you need at quote stage, so the price reflects your full spec.

Number of colorways and sizes

Each colorway carries its own 30-piece MOQ. More colorways means a larger first order. Ask how the pieces can be split across sizes or weights when you request a quote.

Samples

Every order starts with a pre-production sample in your colorway, with your logo. It takes about 2 weeks. This is where final materials and weights are confirmed. Use the sample properly: train in it, check the fit, check the logo and compare it with your brand color. Changes are far cheaper at this stage than after bulk.

Lead times

Bulk production takes 3 to 4 weeks after sample approval. Shipping time is extra. We ship by DHL, UPS and FedEx, or by air and sea freight. Courier and air are faster. Sea freight is slower and is usually considered for larger volumes. Build these times into your launch date. A realistic plan allows for the sample, any revision, bulk production and transit.

From FOB to landed cost

FOB is only the start. Your landed cost per piece is what you really pay to get each glove into your warehouse or gym. Work it out like this:

  1. FOB price per piece, from your quote.
  2. Freight, courier, air or sea, divided across the pieces in the shipment.
  3. Import duty, based on the product code and your country.
  4. Import VAT or sales tax, where it applies.
  5. Broker and handling fees, if you use a customs broker or forwarder.

Freight, duty and import VAT or sales tax are not included in our FOB prices. We are an EU REX registered exporter, so qualifying shipments may get reduced duty under EU GSP+ or UK DCTS. Always confirm with your customs broker before you set retail prices.

A small tip: add bags to the same shipment if they are part of your range. Products such as the Obsidian Gold pro fight duffle ($15 to $24 FOB) or the Teal Graphite Muay Thai backpack ($14 to $22 FOB) share the same shipment, which can help spread freight cost across more items.

FAQ

What is the MOQ for private-label boxing gloves?

The MOQ for our new collection is 30 pieces per colorway. That applies to boxing, sparring, MMA and grappling gloves. Your logo is printed at 50 mm, and labels and packaging can carry your brand. Ask how pieces can be split across sizes or weights.

Do your glove prices include shipping and duty?

No. Our prices are FOB, indicative and tentative. Freight, import duty and import VAT or sales tax are extra. As an EU REX registered exporter, qualifying shipments may get reduced duty under EU GSP+ or UK DCTS. Confirm the details with your customs broker.

How long does it take to get private-label gloves?

A pre-production sample takes about 2 weeks. Bulk production takes 3 to 4 weeks after you approve the sample. Shipping time is extra and depends on whether you use DHL, UPS, FedEx, air freight or sea freight.

Why are sparring gloves more expensive than boxing gloves?

Sparring gloves use thicker multi-density foam and come in heavier weights of 14, 16 and 18 oz. More foam means more material and build time. That is why their indicative FOB range of $12 to $20 sits a little above boxing gloves at $11 to $18.

How do I work out my landed cost per glove?

Start with the FOB price per piece. Add freight divided across the shipment, import duty, import VAT or sales tax where it applies, and any broker or handling fees. Your customs broker can confirm the duty rate and any preference that applies to your shipment.
