Drop-led brands keep coming back to this one because the PU holds a hard colour block better than melton does. Black against blaze orange stays crisp at the panel seam instead of softening the way a felted wool edge can.
Black with orange is the loudest seller in the range — it is the colourway esports orgs, fight gyms and drop-based streetwear labels ask for first.
Vegan leather stopped being a compromise somewhere around the point PU shells started creasing like hide instead of plastic. This build uses a 0.8 mm two-tone PU with a brushed polyester backing on both the body and the sleeves, which is what gives it the soft fold at the elbow rather than the hard crack cheaper coated fabrics develop after a season.
Because the whole shell is PU, the jacket is roughly 500 g lighter than the wool-and-cowhide build and costs materially less to land. That combination makes it the practical choice for brands shipping into markets where animal leather is a regulatory or ethical problem, and for ranges that need the varsity silhouette at a retail price a wool jacket cannot reach.
Decoration works differently on PU than on melton, so we steer you toward embroidered or chenille crests on a backed panel, heat-sealed twill, silicone badges or debossed PU patches. We prove the method on your sample before bulk — nothing goes into production on this shell that we have not tested for adhesion and wash.

Yes. The shell, lining, thread and trims on this build contain no animal-derived material, and we can supply supplier declarations for the PU and the trims if your buyer or certification body asks for them.
Ten pieces per style, sizes and colourways mixed. That is low enough to run a single-store test or a small team order, and the same pattern scales straight into a four-figure production run without re-development.
Not at this specification. We use a 0.8 mm PU with a brushed polyester backing rather than a thin coated fabric, and we test flex and adhesion on every development sample. Cheaper PU at 0.4–0.5 mm is what fails, and we do not quote it.
Yes — that hybrid is one of the most common requests we get. Tell us which panels you want in which material and we will cost the combination; it usually lands between this jacket and the full wool-and-cowhide build.
