Satin is the varsity fabric that sells on a photograph. The high-lustre face catches a light rig the way melton never will, which is why satin bombers keep coming back for tour merch, crew gifting, dance squads and every 90s-revival drop since the trend returned.
The shell here is a heavyweight 120 gsm polyester satin — substantial enough to hold a shoulder line rather than collapsing, and stable enough to take tackle twill without rippling. Behind it sits a diamond-quilted lining with 100 gsm wadding, which makes the jacket warmer than its weight suggests and keeps the body from clinging.
It is also the quickest jacket in this range to make. No leather to cut, no melton to felt: bulk runs 3 to 4 weeks after sample approval, which matters when a drop date or a tour schedule is already fixed.

A cheap 75 gsm lining satin does. This is a 120 gsm heavyweight shell satin with a tighter weave, chosen because it resists pulls and does not water-spot. We will send a swatch so you can test it against whatever you are comparing it to.
Samples in 7 to 10 days, bulk in 3 to 4 weeks after approval. It is the fastest build in our varsity range because there is no leather cutting or melton felting in the process.
Ten pieces per style, sizes and colourways mixed — low enough for a crew gift run or a single merch drop, with the same pattern scaling to several thousand without re-development.
Yes, through dye sublimation, but it changes the build: the panels are printed before cutting. Tell us at enquiry stage and we will quote it as a sublimated jacket rather than a dyed satin one.
